DENVER, Colo. (247MarketNews.com)— Helport AI (NASDAQ:HPAI) is transitioning a Southeast Asian fintech customer's debt-collection operations from a hybrid AI-and-human outsourcing model toward autonomous AI operations. Helport is targeting approximately 300 AI Workforce units for the customer by November 30, 2026.
The commercial relationship already generates approximately $200,000 in monthly revenue, according to Helport.
Additionally, Helport notified the SEC, in a filing, yesterday, that its fiscal 2026 annual report would be late. More significantly, the company said it anticipates a material decrease in revenue for the year ended June 30, 2026, and a net loss, reversing the net income reported in the prior fiscal year. It attributed the expected revenue decline primarily to evolving business operations and strategic investments, but said audited figures were not yet available.
That warning puts the new AI Labor initiative in a different light. Helport reported fiscal 2025 revenue of $34.9 million and net income of $1.9 million. For the six months ended December 31, 2025, revenue increased 7.7% year over year to $17.7 million, but the company recorded a $1.7 million net loss, compared with $1.1 million in net income in the comparable prior-year period. The latest annual results will help establish whether the company's strategic shift is translating into a sustainable business.
Helport has previously promoted its AI collections technology as a potential improvement over conventional human-operated teams. In a June 2 announcement, the company claimed its AI teams collected 60% more money than comparable human teams during an observed period. It also disclosed that its collections business generally uses revenue-sharing arrangements, with agreed rates ranging from 35% to 45% of recovered amounts.
